Short Stories of making a Home…

THE YEAR 2021 (1).jpg
Lock Down Design.npme

So what are we doing in this lock-down? Getting down & dirty with removing the old carpet from the stairs. First job is to make the staircases safe, the carpet was bagging & moving all over the place! You can’t see it in the pictures but these stairs are in serious need of tender loving care, they bonce slightly! Quite the most disgusting job to remove, probably 15 year old carpet full of old dust & debris embedded in the fabric! It is clear that at some stage the carpet was not wall to wall as we have found it but there was a runner, we have now removed the old paint from one of the sets of stairs, what a job, I thought it would never end! There were many layers of paint, one being turquoise! Must have been a interior design idea from the late 1960’s? Today we removed the old carpet from one of the landings, equally disgusting, but with less paint to find on the old floor boards underneath! So now for the refurbishment of these beautiful old stairs, this will take many hours of manual work, I will keep you briefed on the progress…

Below are some of the other projects we have undertaken, these were all done with staff! We are now doing this project thanks to the lock-down on our own….
